PAR DILIGENCE STRATEGY

The PAR Diligence Strategy is your Map on the Journey to Great Diligence

The PAR Diligence Strategy is a proprietary strategy that simplifies and organizes diligence processes. This strategy provides a uniform plan of action and skill set for your organization. The PAR Diligence Strategy is a map for doing diligence. It is specific enough to provide guidance and flexible enough to incorporate your internal, industry, and regulatory requirements.

Diligence is such a key factor in the success of an organization, that we invite you to consider implementing a strategy that will transform the way people go about doing their diligence work across your organization.

Plan

It is easy to get lost or spend unnecessary time when you are trying to perform diligence. The solution is to develop a plan before you begin the diligence work. The Diligence File discusses practical ways for you to develop efficient, actionable diligence project plans. A diligence plan will provide you with the process that you need to take your diligence project from start to finish.

Act

After you have a plan, it is time to take action. The PAR Diligence Strategy organizes diligence actions into steps called RAS. You start with Research, the phase in which you find material that may be useful for your project. Then you move on to doing an Analysis of that information so that you develop knowledge that you apply to your diligence project. Then during the final phase, Synthesis, you take the knowledge and combining it with your own experiences, background and expertise you generate wisdom that you apply to the project to draw conclusions. This is a dynamic process, you repeat the stages and steps until you reach your conclusions.

Record

Finally, you will want to track the process, materials, analysis and conclusions that relate to a diligence project. Record is the term that the Diligence File uses to account for these actions. By using the PAR Diligence Strategy across your team or organization you will find and generate useful information that you will want to capture for future use. You may have an internal knowledge management system that automates this process, but if not, the Diligence File offers practical and easy suggestions about how to present, track, and save information.
